First Day of School

Christopher and Will went to preschool together for an entire week this summer. I thought it would be nice since Will starts school in the fall, to get him used to it when his big brother is there. Both of them enjoyed it very much.

Throwing Rocks Into the River

For whatever reason, the boys could throw rocks into the river for hours. It was a great way to end the wonderful day!

More at the Roths

James and his friend so kindly gave Chris and the older boys a boat ride in the river.

Then, before the boys were over tired, they had s'mores.

Vacation at the Roths

We had a few days vacation visiting the Roths in their camp house on the Susquehanna River. It was just beautiful. I left there spiritually renewed with a new enthusiasm. The Roths are quite inspirational and great examples of people to emulate.

Saturday morning we hiked part of the Appalachian trail. Of course, we had not remembered the carrier, so we were trying to push a stroller over tree roots. Other than that, it was good exercise for all, and great conversation!

Did It Hurt?

A few weeks ago we went to church with Nana and Pa. Christopher, looking at the crucifix, asked Nana, "Did it hurt?"

Another Compliment

We actually got two compliments at church today, and the kids actually deserved them today. They were so good in church! Christopher knows the Our Father, and participates. And he generally participates in most of church. It's obvious we take them every week.

T-Ball Camp

Christopher and Will both were in T-ball camp for a week this year. They both seemed to enjoy it, but Christopher liked swimming lessons more. Will was the youngest, but quite a trooper. The big kids said Will was their favorite. Oh, how cute!

Christopher's Swim Lessons

Christopher took swimming lessons for the first time. It's at an indoor pool so the pictures are not too great.

I also wanted to add, that it took Christopher until the end of the second day to actually get in the water. Now he loves it!

Compliment- Christopher Very Kind

I'm very far behind on my posts of our summer activities, but I wanted to post something Miss Ellen said about Christopher while it's in my head. Christopher and Will are both in a week of preschool together this summer, even though they'll be in different classes in the fall. Miss Ellen told me that Christopher is very good to Will. He's always including him in activities, and being very kind to him in general. That made my week!

Swim Lessons S/p Nice Mom

Christopher did a great job trying new things after the forced entry.

First Day of Swim Lessons

The nice lady spent all the entire first day and 80% of the second day trying to coax Christopher into the water. I finally told them they had my permission to forcefully take him in regardless of his protestings. He's been perfectly cooperative after that!

Magic Show

The kids had a ball at the magic show.

Life's a Joke

Since he is turning one, we get to stop the formula and start milk. However, we have not moved him to cups, yet. We were attempting to give him a bottle of cold milk. He just started laughing and laughing like this was the funniest thing... You can't give me cold milk. He refused to drink it until we warmed it up, all with a smile on his face.

Happy Birthday, Robbie

He turns one today. He's not walking, yet, though.
